Instructor: Muriel Montgomery

The Ruby Improv Level 1 is an exploration of the fundamentals of long form improv comedy. Whether you are brand new to improv, or visiting us as an improv veteran, or anything in between, this course gives you a strong foundation to be a confident performer. Learn how to connect and collaborate with an ensemble, how to make emotional and specific choices, how to tap into your spontaneity and your listening skills, how to move through basic scene work, and how to play in a simple show structure. Get on stage immediately to explore these tools through active exercises.

This course is 8-weeks long and culminates in a graduating class show on The Ruby LA’s stage in the heart of Hollywood!
