Storytelling For The Stage and Beyond: Whether it’s for a storytelling show or event, a pitch meeting, or a toast to the bride and groom, in this 6 week course you’ll learn how to share your personal stories through the art of storytelling, to connect, engage and unlock the power of your own vulnerability. By the end of this course you will have a strong collection of stories to choose from for wherever your storytelling path should take you!
This class ends with a class show at The Ruby LA.

Christina Igaraividez
Instructor: Christina Igaraividez

Christina Igaraividez is a writer, performer, producer and of course, storyteller. Whether it’s an ensemble production or a digital short, she is constantly working on how to get people to laugh (and sometimes cry). She has trained in comedy across Chicago, New York and Los Angeles at places like Second City, iO, and UCB. Her YouTube channel has received notoriety from outlets such as HuffPo, Perez Hilton, LA Weekly and Upworthy. Christina has a strong passion for storytelling and has performed across various stages in L.A., has taught storytelling at corporate seminars, has won multiple StorySlam competitions at the Moth and is a Moth Mainstage performer. She is also ensemble member of Teatro Luna (the country’s first Pan-Latina theater company) and with Teatro Luna West (LA chapter) she currently produces and hosts a monthly storytelling show, that exclusively features women of color, called Talking While Female: Storytelling Sessions, located at Studio Luna in Boyle Heights.

Refund Policy

  • The Ruby LA has a no-refund policy on all classes and shows. If we need to cancel or re-schedule a class for any reason, you are entitled to take that class or classes equal to the admission price of that class. You may use your class credit for up to two years, after which time it expires.
  • The Ruby LA reserves the right to replace a course instructor, without notice, and at any time, with another equally qualified course instructor.
  • The Ruby LA also reserves the right to postpone or cancel a course if an emergency or unforeseen conflict arises. In the event of a complete cancellation, students’ tuition will be refunded or credited. Any fees incurred by students for travel, lodging, etc. will not be reimbursed by the Ruby LA.
